Cool Dads Foundation 2017 Gala Dinner - Dining in Style

Cool Dads Foundation is an NPO that is dedicated to bringing positive change within the community, and in most cases that requires a significant amount of money. Cool dad’s foundation hosted a fund raising gala dinner that injected a cash boost that is very much needed by the organization.

The Gala Dinner was an opportunity for the patrons to dress up and also contribute towards the Big Brother Mentorship Program. The Big Brother Mentorship program has 80 boys between Grade 8 and 10 from in the far east of Ekurhuleni. In this programme we match a young boy with a mentor that is in a similar field of interest. The program also offers career guidance, life skills workshops, camps, field trips and many more.

180 people graced the Dinner; amongst them were Mr Mike Teke as the Guest Speaker, Board members of the Cool Dads Foundation, Stakeholders, media, Cool Dads and Cool Moms. The event did not only raise funds for the Big Brother Mentorship, but it also challenged the foundation to accelerate its process of writing a book. Mr Mike Teke committed in contributing a chapter on the book and challenged other Dads to write a chapter as well. The book will be released in June 2018.
